PREAMBLE
The Shared Conviction
Put the right people in a room and ask whether the current trajectory is sustainable. They say no. Ask whether something structural needs to change. They say yes. These are not radicals or pessimists. They are among the most successful people in the world — people who understand how systems work, who have built things that matter, and who are watching the same horizon with the same quiet concern.
The trajectory they’re watching is not complicated. Machines and AI are displacing workers — not in one industry, not in one country, not in one skill category, but horizontally, simultaneously, across every sector of the global economy at once. This has never happened before. Every previous technology disruption replaced one kind of work and created adjacent opportunities for the people it displaced. Steam replaced muscle. Software replaced clerical work. Each time, new industries absorbed the displacement over time, and the economy moved forward. This time is different. AI doesn’t replace one category of work and leave the others intact. The truck driver and the radiologist and the paralegal and the software engineer are not facing the same problem at different speeds. They are facing the same problem at the same time. There is no adjacent industry to retrain into when the displacement is horizontal across every sector at once.
The productivity gains are extraordinary. The question of who captures them is the most important economic question of the next twenty years — and it is being answered right now, by default, in the architecture of the systems being built.
The problem is not the diagnosis. The diagnosis is already shared. The problem is that no one has yet put a concrete mechanism on the table that is equal to the scale of what’s coming.
This paper is about that mechanism.
MOVEMENT ONE
Two Futures
There are only two ways this ends. Not two ideologies, not two political platforms — two futures, each one a direct consequence of decisions being made right now. It is worth looking at both of them clearly, without sentiment, before discussing which one is still available to us.
The first future.
It is 2038. The transition is largely complete. AI manages most cognitive work. Robotics has absorbed most physical labor. The economy is producing wealth at a scale that would have seemed implausible a decade earlier — Elon Musk’s ten-times economy arrived roughly on schedule, perhaps faster. The numbers are staggering. The aggregate is extraordinary.
But aggregate wealth and distributed wealth are different things. In this future, the ownership of the machines that generate the wealth was never broadly distributed — because the infrastructure to distribute it was never built. The gains flowed to the people who owned the assets when the transition accelerated. That was a small group. It was always going to be a small group without deliberate intervention, because asset ownership at the start of the transition was already concentrated, and nothing in the architecture of the transition was designed to change that.
The majority of people in this future are not starving. UBI exists in various forms across most developed nations. The check arrives. The lights stay on. But the check is not ownership. It is a stipend — enough to survive outside the productive economy, not enough to participate in it. And the thing that a stipend cannot replace is not just income. It is purpose. Identity. The sense that the system is working for you, not merely tolerating you.
A stipend has one more structural flaw that the policy debate almost never names: it has no end-game. Universal Basic Income, in every form it has been proposed, is a permanent obligation. The check goes out this month and next month and in thirty years, because nothing in the design creates the conditions under which it is no longer needed. The family receiving it in year one is just as dependent in year twenty. There is no sustainability horizon. There is no mechanism by which the transfer becomes unnecessary, no graduation point, no moment at which the government's role ends because the family's ownership has begun. The liability is permanent by design — because the instrument was never meant to build anything. It was meant to maintain.
Evan is designed around the opposite logic. Every participant has a sustainability horizon — the specific point at which the income from their portfolio exceeds their monthly living expenses and they are self-sufficient through ownership rather than transfer. That crossing point is the goal the system is engineered to reach. If a government chose to accelerate it — subsidizing early portfolio contributions for lower-income participants the way it might fund infrastructure — it would be making a finite investment with a defined end state. Help a family build a sustainable portfolio and the income continues without another dollar of public support. The government's role ends. The family's income does not.
A stipend maintains dependency indefinitely. A portfolio eliminates it permanently. These are not two versions of the same idea. They are opposite architectures with opposite destinations.
If large groups of people are left out of economic participation, history is consistent about what happens next. It happened after the Industrial Revolution concentrated gains in the hands of factory owners. It happened in the 1930s when the last great technological and financial disruption left enough people economically purposeless long enough. It does not require a majority to be destitute. It requires enough people to feel permanently excluded from an economy they can see generating wealth all around them. At that point, the social trust that makes civilization function — the shared conviction that the system is legitimate, that playing by the rules is worth it — breaks. What follows is not orderly. It is not negotiated. It does not respect the portfolios of the people who won.
The wealth in this future turns out not to be durable. The few who hold it discover what every ruling class in history has eventually discovered: that prosperity built on exclusion requires more and more energy to defend, until it doesn’t.
That distinction — between a transfer that maintains dependency and an architecture that ends it — is exactly what separates the two futures worth considering.
The second future.
It is also 2038. The same machines exist. The same AI. The same extraordinary productive capacity. The transition happened at roughly the same speed. The difference is not the technology. It is one decision that was made early enough to matter: the ownership infrastructure was built before the transition completed.
Not a government program. Not a redistribution scheme. Not a tax on the winners and a check to the losers. A platform — open, competitive, governed by principles embedded in its architecture rather than in agreements that could be renegotiated — that made it possible for any person, anywhere, with any amount of capital, to own a piece of the machines reshaping the world.
The factory worker who saw the robot coming didn’t fight it. He bought into it — a few dollars a month into microshares of the warehouse robotics fleet his employer was deploying. The income from those shares grew as the fleet grew. By the time his job was gone, the assets that replaced him were paying him. Not enough to replicate his salary at first. Enough to matter. Enough to compound. Enough to give him a stake in the economy that replaced his labor rather than a check from the economy that discarded it.
You do not burn down what you own. You do not cheer for the disruption of systems your family’s future depends on.
That story, multiplied by hundreds of millions of people across every sector and every country, changed the political calculus of the transition entirely. People with ownership positions in the productive economy do not vote to burn it down. They do not radicalize around leaders who promise to take from the other side, because the other side is also their business partner. The geopolitical map looks different when a farmer in Kenya, a logistics worker in Vietnam, and a retired teacher in Ohio all hold microshares in the same global infrastructure assets.
The second future is not a utopia. There is still inequality. There is still failure and fraud and disappointment alongside the success. The transition is still hard. But the direction is stable. The system did not take from Peter to pay Paul, it gave Paul a seat at the table. The mechanism is legitimate. The social contract held — not because anyone was generous enough to give it away, but because the right infrastructure was built at the right time and made inclusion the default rather than the exception.
A third future?
There is a third future worth considering.
In this one, the displacement doesn't come — or doesn't come as severely as the first two futures assume. The ten-times economy arrives on schedule, but people adapt faster than expected. The displaced logistics worker uses AI to start a small business and brings four former colleagues with him. New industries emerge. The labor market adjusts. The optimists are vindicated.
But even in this third future, there are still people at the edges — people who can press their face against the glass and watch the ten-times economy without ever being invited inside. Not because the system failed. Because the on-ramp was never built wide enough.
Now ask the harder question: if this third future — the best-case future — chose to build Evan anyway, chose to make ownership the default rather than the exception, what would that world look like? Not just better. Categorically different. A world where prosperity is not a spectator sport.
Evan is not only a response to displacement. It is the infrastructure that completes capitalism's promise — in any future, under any conditions.
MOVEMENT TWO
The Mechanism
The architecture of a dream — turning a dream into a goal, and a goal into reality.
The difference between those two futures is not technological. Every component required to build the ownership infrastructure already exists. Fractional ownership of productive assets has worked for sixty years in real estate. Diversified asset bundles have been standard investment products for thirty years. Distributed ledger technology, AI validation systems, conversational interfaces — all deployed at scale today.
What has never existed is the integration. A single open platform, governed by immutable principles, on which any productive asset — a robotaxi fleet, a warehouse robot, an agricultural module, an energy microgrid, a small business — can be packaged into microshares and made accessible to any participant at any scale, from a few dollars a month to a few million.
That platform is Evan.
Evan is not a charity and it is not a government program. It is a market — open, competitive, and anti-capture — designed on a simple premise: the income-producing assets of the global economy should be ownable by anyone willing to participate, at whatever scale they can manage, without requiring prior wealth, credentials, or connections to get started.
The mechanics are straightforward. An asset is packaged as an RFE — a REIT for Everything. Microshares are issued. Participants buy in for whatever they can afford. The asset generates income. The income is distributed proportionally, after reserves for maintenance, replacement, and platform operations are set aside. Participants reinvest by default, compounding their ownership over time. The assets work whether they do or not.
At global scale — and Evan is designed for global scale from the first day — the mathematics of small become extraordinary. Billions of people contributing even a few dollars a month into productive asset ownership generates an ownership base that changes the structure of the economy. Not through redistribution. Through participation.
Evan is not only a platform for owning existing assets. It is an incubator for new ones. Any participant with an idea — for a product, a service, a piece of infrastructure, a business that doesn’t exist yet — can bring that idea to Evan and have it developed, stress-tested, validated, and funded without surrendering ownership to the people with the capital to back it. The entrepreneur who could never get a meeting with a venture capitalist now has access to a global pool of microshare investors and an AI system that stress-tests her idea against thousands of economic scenarios before a dollar is committed. The ideas that are dying unhatched today because the people who have them don’t have the connections or the capital to act on them — those ideas enter the economy. At scale, that is not a ten-times economy. It is something considerably larger than that.
MOVEMENT THREE
The Moment
Every major technological transition in modern history has ended in redistribution. The only variable is whether that redistribution was designed or forced.
The Industrial Revolution was eventually followed by labor laws, unions, progressive taxation, and the social safety net — not because the factory owners volunteered them, but because the alternative was worse. The 1930s produced the New Deal, and in countries where nothing like it emerged, it produced something considerably darker. In each case, the voluntary version — the designed redistribution — was available earlier than it arrived. The window was open. It closed. What came after was more expensive, more painful, and less elegant than what could have been built when the window was still open.
The window is open right now. The transition is underway but not complete. The social trust is strained but not broken.
The political will to build something new still exists alongside the capital and the capability to build it. The people who understand the trajectory most clearly — who have built the technologies accelerating it, who have studied the historical patterns it echoes, who have spent careers thinking about how systems fail and what makes them durable — those people are in a position to act that no subsequent generation will have.
That window is measured in years. Not decades.
The question this paper is asking is not whether Evan is a good idea. The architecture is documented. The stress tests are published. The mechanics work at any scale. The question is whether the people who understand what is coming are willing to act on that understanding while the designed version is still available. No one can predict when displacement will be massive enough to cause social unrest. But Evan is a good idea even if displacement never happens. It provides the on-ramp that capitalism needs for everyone to be able to participate. It removes the argument for socialism and communism. We are already seeing AI enable one- and two-person businesses generating wealth that once required organizations of hundreds. That is not a trend. It is a preview. Evan is the infrastructure that ensures that preview becomes available to everyone — not as a promise, but as the on-ramp that capitalism always needed and never built.
Evan does not need a government. It does not need a revolution. It needs a small number of people who see the problem clearly, believe the mechanism is sound, and are willing to commit the capability and the resources to build it before the window closes.

How This Began
A Note from the Author
I am not an economist. I am not a scientist. I am not the head of a large corporation. I do not have a college degree.
In 1984 I went to work for a company that trained me to write COBOL code. Before that I spent six years doing accounting work. Since 1992 I have worked in the “boiler room” of our family business, building software to help us run it more efficiently. In other words, I am not a Rhodes Scholar, a Nobel Prize winner, a college professor, or an Ivy League graduate. I am simply someone who has spent four decades watching capitalism work.
And what I have seen is this: capitalism is easily the greatest economic engine ever built. Nothing else comes close. But while it provides access in theory, in practice a lot of things have to go right for most people to fully participate in its promise. This paper is my attempt to help build a better model — one that delivers the full power of capitalism to everyone.
The idea for Evan was born in the most ordinary place possible: a doctor’s waiting room in Birmingham, Alabama, about two hours north of my home in Montgomery. I was bored, pulled out my phone, and asked ChatGPT what was on his mind. I then told him, “I want to solve world poverty.” That simple conversation, along with inspiration from Elon, started everything.
A short time earlier, Elon Musk had said he believed he could solve poverty by letting ordinary people own a Tesla Cybercab or an Optimus robot and earn income from it while the Tesla network handled the rest. His words stuck with me. I thought, Why stop there? Why not do this for every productive asset in the economy? And Evan was born.
My lack of formal qualifications is not a flaw in this story — it is the entire point of Evan. The system is designed so that ordinary people, working with AI, can take an idea, iterate on it, stress-test it, and turn it into something real. This paper is my first proof that the AI-iteration concept has wings.
I want to give credit where it is due. The idea began with ChatGPT in that waiting room. Much of the heavy lifting and refinement happened with Claude. And Grok provided sharp, honest critique and helped strengthen the substance of the final version. Everything you read is my concept, but these tools helped me refine it. Claude and Grok did some wonderful research and simulations for me that I would have found quite tedious. And that is the spirit of Evan – let the AI do the heavy lifting.
The point is, if I can do this, anyone can.
My hope is simple. If we build Evan, every person on Earth will one day have the tools to create something of value and to own a piece of the economy. We will become a world of creators, not just consumers. A world where people’s ideas have an audience and a means to see them to fruition.

This is not a proposal to fix capitalism. It is a proposal to complete the promise of capitalism — it enables it on a much broader scale and allows everyone at the edges to participate.
The Problem Evan Solves
We are living through the most rapid economic transformation in human history. AI systems are performing cognitive tasks that required years of human training. Robots are performing physical tasks that defined entire industries. Automation is moving up the skill ladder faster than any workforce retraining program can match. In a future with AI enabled robots, when one robot learns a new skill or bit of knowledge, they all learn it instantaneously. No training curve.
The result is a paradox: extraordinary productivity gains are creating enormous new wealth while simultaneously eliminating the wage-earning opportunities most people have used to access that wealth. The pie is getting bigger. The number of people with a piece of that pie is not growing at the same rate.
The traditional responses — redistribute through taxation, or trust that markets will create new jobs — both fail to address the root cause. They accept the premise that ownership of productive assets belongs to those who already have capital, and that everyone else's relationship to the economy is through wages or transfers. Evan rejects that premise entirely.
The challenge is not a lack of wealth. It is a lack of access to ownership. Evan is not a redistribution system. It is an ownership expansion system.
How Evan Works
Evan operates through four core instruments working together as an integrated system.
The RFE — the REIT For Everything — is the fundamental unit of ownership. Any income-producing asset can be packaged as an RFE: a robotaxi fleet, a warehouse full of autonomous picking robots, an agricultural module, an HVAC system, an energy microgrid, a data center. Microshares of each RFE can be purchased for as little as a few dollars, making real asset ownership available to anyone with any level of capital.
Super Assets bundle multiple RFEs across asset classes and geographies into a single investable instrument with a blended, stabilized return — targeting 4% to 5% net yield. This is the instrument that working families, near-retirees, and first-time investors can hold safely, knowing that a bad quarter in one asset class does not devastate their income.
Guilds are communities of domain experts — HVAC specialists, logistics engineers, agricultural technologists, energy infrastructure professionals — who validate RFEs with skin in the game. They invest in the same assets they approve. Their reputation and their money ride on the quality of their judgment. This is the human expertise layer that makes the validation process credible.
Evan AI is the automated incubator that connects all three instruments. It takes an idea through conversational development, Monte Carlo stress testing across thousands of economic scenarios, Guild review, capital formation, deployment, and continuous monitoring — managing the entire lifecycle of every asset in the system, around the clock, at global scale.
The Architecture of Freedom
Evan is designed to function like the internet: the core protocol is open, universal, and owned by no one. Evan owns the neutral core ledger — the single source of truth for every microshare, every income distribution, every ownership record. Providers are interface and service layers only, competing fiercely on user experience, specialized tools, and price.
Switching providers requires nothing more than a single configuration change. No data transfer. No friction. No leverage. This design — Evan as the neutral protocol, providers as competing service layers — creates the same market discipline that keeps the internet honest: a provider that fails its participants loses them instantly, automatically, without regulatory intervention.
The anti-concentration architecture prevents wealthy actors from using Evan to recreate the concentration problem it was designed to solve. Hard ownership caps, affiliation detection, and continuous algorithmic monitoring ensure that the ownership layer remains genuinely distributed even as the total value of assets in the system grows. The global depreciable asset base — the productive equipment, infrastructure, vehicles, and systems that generate economic output — is vast and growing. Applied to the AI-driven expansion already underway, the math produces numbers that should stop every reader in their tracks.
At a conservative 10% market penetration — a modest goal for a system operating over decades — average family asset income reaches approximately $1,542 per month. In most of the developing world, that single figure clears the poverty line entirely, for every family, sustainably, through ownership rather than charity.
The alternative is Universal Basic Income — a tax-and-redistribute mechanism that every serious analysis prices at $3 to $4 trillion per year in the United States alone, funded by levies that fall directly on the businesses deploying the productive assets that displaced human workers in the first place. A business paying a modest RFE lease premium participates in a market. A business paying a UBI-funding VAT pays a penalty. The math strongly favors the market.

Why Now?
Evan does not require a single new invention. Every component already exists: REITs and fractional investing platforms, AI validation and Monte Carlo modeling, ETF diversification logic, distributed ledger infrastructure, Guild-equivalent oversight bodies in every mature industry, and the internet's own open protocol architecture as the model for everything.
What Evan requires is integration, intention, and the right team. The window to build the ownership infrastructure of the AI age — while the architecture can still be set correctly, before the default concentration dynamic locks in — is open now. The forces Evan is designed to channel are already in motion whether Evan exists or not. The question is whether the ownership layer gets built intentionally, with the principles described in this document embedded at the foundation, or whether it gets built by default in the image of whoever moves fastest without those principles.

Why This Idea, Why Now
The origin of Evan is told in the opening pages of this document. The question it raised is the one this chapter answers: as artificial intelligence displaces workers at a scale never seen before, who will own the machines that replace them?
The Problem: Abundance Without Access
We are living through the most rapid economic transformation in human history. AI systems are performing cognitive tasks that required years of human training. Robots are performing physical tasks that defined entire industries. Automation is moving up the skill ladder at a pace that no workforce retraining program can match.

Credible projections suggest an economy ten times larger than today's within a decade. If that projection is even half right, we are talking about wealth creation on a scale that dwarfs anything in human history. The question is not whether that wealth will be created. It will be. The question is: who will own it?
Jim Rohn once said, “don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon.” Sound advice. Most people spend their lives at the edge of the greatest wealth-generating system in human history, collecting what they can with whatever they have on hand. Evan doesn't just give you a bigger container. It gives you a stake in the ocean itself.
The Failure of Existing Solutions
The traditional responses to economic displacement fall into two camps, and both are inadequate. The first camp says: redistribute. Tax the wealthy, fund social programs, provide Universal Basic Income. This approach treats citizens as dependents — people to be managed rather than participants in the economy. It offers table scraps with dignity attached. And it fundamentally misses the point, because redistribution reallocates existing wealth. It does not create new ownership.
The second camp says: do nothing. Markets will sort it out. Innovation creates new jobs. This is historically true over long timescales — but the pace of AI displacement may be faster than the pace of new job creation, and the new jobs may require skills that displaced workers cannot acquire quickly enough.
THE CORE INSIGHT The challenge is not a lack of wealth. The challenge is a lack of access to ownership. Evan is not a redistribution system. It is an ownership expansion system.
What a Business Actually Is
A business is a collection of assets, organized with intention, producing a revenue stream that is shared between the people who operate it — as wages — and the people who own it — as profits. Strip away the complexity, the org charts, the branding, and every business reduces to this: assets, organized to produce revenue, with the proceeds split between operators and owners.
In the traditional model, the owner does two things simultaneously: he owns the process and he owns the assets that execute the process. The worker owns neither. He rents his time in exchange for a wage. In most businesses, the owner keeps the residual — the profit after wages and costs are paid.
This model has produced extraordinary prosperity. It rewards innovation, risk-taking, and vision. It should not be dismantled. But it has a structural flaw that is tolerable in a labor-abundant economy and intolerable in an AI-driven one: it concentrates the ownership layer in the hands of whoever could capitalize the assets in the first place.
The insight at the core of Evan is this: the process and the assets do not have to be owned by the same person. The creator owns the process — the idea, the design, the organization, the brand, the relationships, the execution. That is where entrepreneurial profit comes from. That is where vision is rewarded. That does not change.
But the assets that execute the process — the equipment, the building, the land, the HVAC system, the fleet of vehicles, the robots on the factory floor — those can be owned by anyone. They can be packaged as income-producing instruments and opened to fractional ownership through microshares.
The business operator does not need to capitalize all of those assets himself. He leases them from their owners — the same way a business leases a building today. Except instead of leasing from one wealthy landlord, he leases from thousands of ordinary people who each own microshares of the assets through an instrument called an RFE.
Evan does not disrupt the business. It enables the business owner and broadens who gets to be the owner of the assets the business depends on.
Consider this, every business has two layers. The asset layer — the physical and operational infrastructure that makes the business possible. And the process layer — the human judgment, creativity, taste, and execution that determines whether the business is good. The asset layer is largely commoditized. The process layer is where all the differentiation lives.
Imagine two restaurants sitting side by side. Same square footage, same equipment, same tables and chairs, same POS system, same commercial kitchen. One is forgettable. One has a line out the door on a Tuesday night. The primary difference is in the process layer — the chef's palate, the owner's hospitality instincts, the sourcing relationships, the culture of the room. The assets didn't do that. The person did.
What Evan recognizes is that these two layers don't have to be owned by the same person — and in many cases, it's actually better if they're not.
Right now, the restaurant owner has to fund both layers himself, or borrow against both, or find an investor who takes equity in both. That means before he ever cooks a single meal, he's carrying the weight of the asset layer on his back — the lease, the equipment loans, the build-out costs. That capital burden is one of the primary reasons most restaurants fail. Not bad food. Not bad service. Undercapitalization of the asset layer before the process layer ever gets a chance to prove itself.
Evan separates the layers cleanly. The asset layer — the building fit-out, the commercial kitchen equipment, the furniture, the point-of-sale infrastructure — is funded through an RFE. Microshare holders own those assets and earn a return on them through a lease paid by the operator. The operator — the restaurateur — focuses entirely on the process layer. He doesn't own the oven. Guild members who validate a charitable RFE are not simply lending their reputation. They are making a professional commitment that the project is legitimate, that the costs are reasonable, that the implementing organization is capable, and that the community the project is meant to serve actually wants and will use what is being built. Guild reputation scores are updated based on the outcomes of the projects they validate. A Guild that consistently approves projects that fail or are later found to be fraudulent loses standing — automatically, without appeal.
This is the accountability structure that the existing NGO and aid industry has largely failed to build for itself in seventy years of trying. Evan builds it structurally, not aspirationally.
Layer Five: Permanent Dashboard Transparency
Every microshare holder in a charitable RFE has permanent, real-time access to a complete record of the project: every tranche released, every milestone verified, every concern raised and resolved, every operational metric since the asset became active. The initiative allows any Evan participant to direct a portion of their monthly income into a sponsored Evan account on behalf of someone who needs a foundation. It costs the sponsor pennies. For the recipient, it can change the trajectory of a life.
How the Sponsorship Initiative Works
Sponsorships are initiated in one of two ways. A participant can set up a direct sponsorship, in which they contribute to a specific recipient's account on a monthly basis for a defined term. Or they can contribute to a co-op pool, in which Evan's AI aggregates contributions from many sponsors and distributes them to recipients who match the sponsor's stated preferences — geography, life situation, demographic — without any individual account relationship being established. Both paths lead to the same outcome: a real Evan portfolio growing in a real person's name.
Sponsorship terms are defined at the outset — six months, one year, three years — and contributions stop automatically when the term expires. At that point, the sponsor is prompted to redirect their contribution to a new recipient, or the amount rolls back into their own portfolio. There is no administrative process, no renewal paperwork, and no guilt. The commitment was made, honored, and completed. What happens next is the sponsor's choice.
The Matched Ownership Model
Sponsored funds arrive in the recipient's account as their property from the first day. This is not a loan. It is not a conditional grant held in escrow by Evan. The recipient owns every microshare purchased on their behalf, and that ownership is recorded in Evan's core ledger exactly as it would be for any other participant.

What Evan Does Not Need
What Evan does not need — and what would corrupt the project from the inside — is any group or individual whose primary agenda is something other than building the best possible platform for the broadest possible participation. This includes:

Once the ledger, registration infrastructure, and Guild framework are proven through Give, the natural Phase One extension is productive RFEs in the asset class where the regulatory path is clearest and the proof of concept most visible. Autonomous vehicle fleets — robotaxi RFEs in a jurisdiction with progressive transportation regulation — represent the strongest candidate. The yields are attractive, the asset class is in the public conversation, and the connection between AI-driven productivity and distributed ownership is immediately intuitive to anyone who has followed the autonomous vehicle space.
Phase One success looks like: a functioning ledger, a validated RFE and CRFE structure, a working participant dashboard, at least one Give project funded and operational, ten thousand participants, a handful of Guilds active, and the first productive RFE generating a financial track record — however short — that demonstrates the yield model works in practice.
Phase Two: Expansion (2027 — 2029)
Phase Two extends the model to additional asset classes and additional jurisdictions. The Incubator function launches, allowing creators to bring ideas through the full validation and capital formation process. The Give infrastructure launches, allowing participants to allocate toward charitable RFEs. The provider ecosystem opens, inviting the first third-party providers to build on the Evan protocol. Phase Two success looks like: multiple asset classes operational, multiple jurisdictions with legal recognition of RFEs, the first Incubator-originated businesses generating revenue, one hundred thousand participants, a growing Guild ecosystem, and the first Give projects completed and verified.
Phase Three: Scale (2029 — 2032)
Phase Three is where network effects begin to dominate. The participant base reaches a scale at which the platform becomes self-reinforcing — more participants attract more operators, more operators attract more Guild validators, more Guild validators improve the quality of the asset pool, a higher-quality asset pool attracts more participants. The flywheel turns.
Phase Three success looks like: millions of participants across multiple continents, a diverse and competitive provider ecosystem, a functioning secondary market for microshares, Give projects operational on multiple continents, and a demonstrated track record of income generation that has changed the financial lives of a meaningful number of people.
By the time Phase Three completes, Evan is no longer a startup. It is infrastructure.
The Funding Philosophy
Evan will require substantial capital to build. The infrastructure, the regulatory engagement, the team, the pilot programs — none of it is cheap. But the source and structure of that capital matters as much as the amount.
The right capital for Evan comes from people who understand that this is a long-horizon project — that the return is measured in years and decades, not quarters — and who have aligned interests with the participant community rather than competing ones. Family offices, impact-oriented private capital, technology entrepreneurs who have already built at scale and understand what it takes, and a limited number of institutional investors whose governance structures allow for genuinely long-term thinking.
The wrong capital is any funding that comes with strings attached to the system's architecture — any investor who wants preferred access to RFE deal flow, any strategic partner who wants exclusivity in a market or asset class, any institution whose participation is conditioned on influence over the governance framework. Evan will raise less money on worse terms before it accepts capital that compromises the model. That is not a negotiating posture. It is a founding commitment.
The paradox of Evan's funding is that its most attractive quality to the right investor — its structural resistance to capture — is precisely what makes it unattractive to the wrong one. That filter is a feature. The investors who are repelled by Evan's governance architecture are exactly the investors Evan should not have.

But there is a kind of honesty that a well-constructed argument can obscure — the honesty of acknowledging what you don't know, what might go wrong, and what the legitimate objections actually are. A manifesto tells you everything will be wonderful. An honest case tells you it will be hard, names the ways it might fail, and then makes the argument for why it is worth attempting anyway.
This is that chapter. It is not a disclaimer. It is an invitation to think clearly about what is actually being proposed here, and to arrive at your own conclusion about whether it is worth doing.
Evan Could Launch Evan
Here is the most concrete proof of concept available: the process that produced this document is the process Evan is designed to enable.
An idea existed — rough, ambitious, not fully formed. It needed to be clarified through conversation, stress tested against objections, developed into a coherent framework, and eventually assembled into something that could be shared with the people capable of acting on it. That is exactly what happened here. The ideation was conversational — questions asked, answers given, the idea sharpening with each exchange until it was precise enough to articulate. The validation was iterative — arguments made, weaknesses identified, the case refined until it could stand on its own. The result is a document that did not exist before, describing a platform that does not exist yet, built through exactly the process the platform is designed to provide.
If Evan already existed, you would use Evan to launch Evan. You would bring the idea to the Incubator in plain language. Evan would ask clarifying questions. The idea would sharpen through the conversation. Validation would run in the background. Guilds would review the architecture. Capital would form around the opportunity. The founding team would assemble through the matching function. The build would begin.

This Will Not Be Easy

William Gibson observed that the future is already here — it is just not evenly distributed. That observation has never been more precisely true than it is today, in this moment, with respect to artificial intelligence.
AI is not a theory about some possible future. It is not a projection or a forecast or a scenario being modeled in a laboratory. It is happening right now, at accelerating speed, in ways that are already visible in every sector of the economy. Jobs that existed five years ago do not exist today. Processes that required human judgment a decade ago are now automated. Entire industries are being restructured around the assumption that AI will continue to advance — and the evidence suggests it will advance faster, not slower, than most people currently expect.
The honest truth is that no one knows what the world will look like in ten years. The pace of AI adoption and capability development makes confident prediction impossible. The specific applications that will matter most, the industries that will be most disrupted, the jobs that will be created alongside those that are eliminated — all of this is genuinely uncertain in ways that resist forecasting.
What is not uncertain is the direction. The productive capacity of the global economy is going to increase dramatically. The labor required to generate that productive capacity is going to decrease dramatically. The wealth created by that combination is going to flow somewhere. The only real question — the one that Evan is designed to answer — is whether the infrastructure exists to ensure that flow reaches everyone who wants to participate, or only those who already own the machines.
In my estimation, the world will look better with a tool like Evan than without one. That is not a guarantee. It is a considered judgment, made in full awareness of the uncertainty, by people who have thought carefully about the alternative.
The Legitimate Objections
Every serious idea attracts serious objections. Evan is no exception. The following objections are not straw men — they are real concerns raised by thoughtful people, and they deserve honest answers.
'It cannot be built.'
This objection has the most straightforward answer: every component of Evan already exists in some form. REITs have operated for sixty years. Fractional investing platforms manage billions in assets today. AI validation and Monte Carlo modeling are standard practice in institutional finance. Distributed ledger infrastructure is deployed at scale across the global financial system. The internet itself is the proof of concept for the open-protocol, competitive-provider architecture that Evan is modeled on. What Evan proposes is not the invention of new technology — it is the integration of existing technology with a new purpose. That is a significant engineering challenge. It is not an impossible one.
'A system this encompassing is dangerous.'
This is a legitimate concern and it deserves a direct answer rather than a dismissal. Any system operating at global scale, managing significant economic activity, and touching the financial lives of billions of people carries genuine risk. The question is not whether Evan is risk-free — it is not — but whether the risks of building it are greater or smaller than the risks of not building it. Our judgment is that the world is safer with Evan than without it, precisely because Evan forces the question of guardrails into the center of the design process from the beginning. A world in which AI-driven wealth concentration proceeds without a distributed ownership alternative is not a safe world. It is a world in which the engine that could lift everyone is, by default, lifting only a few. The guardrails that protect people from Evan are the same guardrails that make Evan worth building. They are not a constraint on the vision. They are the vision.
'Governments and large corporations will never allow it.'
Powerful incumbents have resisted every platform that threatened to redistribute economic participation. They resisted the internet. They resisted mobile payments. They resisted fractional investing. They resisted cryptocurrency. In each case, the resistance slowed adoption but did not stop it — because the underlying value proposition was real enough that participants, regulators, and eventually the incumbents themselves found ways to engage. Evan's governance architecture is specifically designed to make it difficult for any single government or corporation to capture the system — and to ensure that the attempt to do so is visible, costly, and ultimately self-defeating. The incumbents will push back. They will not be the last word.
'It will eliminate jobs and institutions that matter to people.'
This objection is true, and it should be taken seriously rather than celebrated. Certain charities will eventually become unnecessary as Evan Give builds the infrastructure that makes them redundant — and for the people whose identity and purpose is bound up in those organizations, that is a real loss even if the outcome is good. Certain financial intermediaries will find their role diminished. Certain government programs will face questions about their continued necessity. Change at this scale is never purely additive. It displaces as well as creates, and the people displaced deserve honest acknowledgment rather than breezy reassurance. Correct. Every large system is fragile at inception. The internet crashed regularly in its early years. The first fractional investing platforms had significant operational failures. The financial system that now processes trillions of dollars daily was once a collection of paper ledgers prone to catastrophic error. Evan will make mistakes. It will have security vulnerabilities that require patching, governance mechanisms that need refinement, and economic models that need adjustment as real-world conditions differ from projections. The question is not whether Evan will be perfect at launch — it will not be — but whether it is designed with enough resilience, transparency, and self-correcting architecture to survive its early fragility and reach a stable state. That is what the governance chapter was designed to ensure. It will not be enough to prevent all failures. It will be enough to prevent any single failure from being fatal.
'The anti-capture architecture will fail the same way every open system has failed.'
This is the most serious objection and it deserves the most direct answer. The internet failed on capture because the protocol was open but the data wasn't — and whoever controlled the data controlled the network. Evan's architecture inverts this specifically: participant ownership records live on the neutral core ledger, not on any provider's servers. Providers are interface layers only. They never hold the data that creates lock-in. A participant who moves takes everything instantly. Whether that inversion is sufficient is a question the architecture cannot answer in advance — only in practice. What it can claim is that the failure mode of the internet was identified, named, and deliberately designed against. That is not a guarantee. It is the strongest available foundation.
Is It Worth It?
That is the question. Not whether Evan is guaranteed to work. Not whether it will be easy. Not whether it will face opposition. All of those questions have already been answered: it is not guaranteed, it will not be easy, and it will face serious opposition from serious quarters.
The question is whether the problem it is designed to solve is worth the attempt.
For most of recorded history, the economy has been something that happens to people. Forces beyond their understanding and control determine whether they have work, whether their savings hold value, whether their children will have more or less than they did. They are spectators to a process that shapes every dimension of their lives — present for the consequences, absent from the decisions. The tools of economic participation — ownership, investment, capital formation — have been available to a relatively small fraction of humanity, and the fraction has remained relatively small across centuries of economic growth that were, by any measure, extraordinary.
The AI revolution is the first moment in history when the productive capacity of the global economy is large enough, and the cost of participation low enough, that genuine universal access to ownership is actually achievable. Not as an aspiration. As an engineering problem with known components and a buildable solution.
If that moment passes without the infrastructure being built — if the default plays out, and the machines that replace human labor are owned by the same people who always owned the means of production — then the AI revolution will have been the most significant missed opportunity in the history of economic development. An era of extraordinary abundance, flowing to an extraordinarily narrow slice of humanity, while the rest watch from outside.
That is not inevitable. It is a choice. And like all choices of this kind, it is being made right now, by default, every day that the alternative does not exist.
The economy becomes something that happens with people and by people — not to them. That is the promise. That is why it is worth it.
A Final Word on Faith and Evidence
There will be people who read this document and conclude that it is too ambitious, too optimistic, too dependent on things going right in ways they have no reason to expect. That reaction is understandable. Large ideas attract large skepticism, and large skepticism is often correct.
But consider what the evidence actually shows. REITs, once considered a radical democratization of real estate ownership, are now a $3 trillion global asset class available to anyone with a brokerage account. Fractional investing platforms, once considered a novelty, now give ordinary people access to asset classes that were previously available only to the wealthy. AI systems, once considered science fiction, now validate financial instruments, manage portfolios, and model economic scenarios at a speed and scale that no human team could match. The internet, once considered a curiosity for academics, now connects half the human population and underlies the entire digital economy.
None of these things were inevitable in the moment they were proposed. All of them required people willing to bet on a direction before the destination was clear. All of them faced the same objections Evan faces: too complex, too ambitious, too threatening to existing interests, too dependent on coordination that would never materialize.
All of them worked. Not perfectly. Not without setbacks. But well enough, and durably enough, to change the world in the direction their builders intended.

A system that cannot withstand honest examination does not deserve to be built. Evan is a large idea — ambitious in scope, significant in its claims, and consequential in its implications. Large ideas attract large doubts, and those doubts deserve direct answers rather than the evasions that too many ambitious proposals substitute for honesty.
This document is not a list of weaknesses. It is a series of honest stress tests — each one naming a real problem, acknowledging its severity without minimizing it, and then making the case for why the problem is addressable, what the mitigation looks like, and why the cost of not building Evan exceeds the cost of every difficulty named here.
The legitimate objections to Evan are not evidence that it should not be built. They are the specification for how it must be built. Every section of this document ends not with a concession but with a design requirement — a commitment that the architecture must meet, the governance must enforce, or the team must solve before the system is credible.

Regulation is the highest near-term barrier to Evan's launch. The pattern is consistent: a new financial instrument that provides genuine value to participants, designed with transparency and consumer protection built in, eventually achieves regulatory legitimacy. The question is sequencing and patience, not feasibility.
The Structural Shortcut: Designing Toward What Already Exists
There is a dimension to the regulatory challenge that the framing above does not fully capture — and it is the most important one for sequencing the build.

That is not a small thing. It is not guaranteed. But it is possible — if the architecture is built, if the principles are held, if the education begins in the schools with the children who will inherit whatever world this generation chooses to leave them.

The transition cost is the specification for this generation's contribution to the generations that follow. It is not an argument for recklessness or for debt without discipline. Every generation faces a problem it did not create and a choice it cannot avoid. This generation's problem is the transition. Its choice is whether to solve it or pass it forward. This document has named eleven categories of real problems. None of them are trivial. Some of them are genuinely hard. A few of them do not have clean solutions and will require sustained engagement over years before they resolve.
And yet.
The barriers to bringing Evan to life are not technology, systems or processes. Those already exist. The barrier is human will. Every section of this document ended with the same conclusion, stated differently each time: the problem is real, the mitigation is real, and the direction is right. Not because Evan is guaranteed to succeed — it is not. Not because every problem named here will be solved cleanly — it won't. But because a system that addresses these problems honestly, designs for their mitigation rigorously, and holds its principles immutably through the difficulty is categorically more likely to deliver on its promise than the alternative, which is no system at all.
The forces Evan is designed to channel — AI-driven productivity growth, the declining cost of every input to production, the expansion of asset classes worth owning, the global appetite for a system that works for ordinary people — are already in motion. They do not wait for Evan. The question is whether the ownership infrastructure gets built intentionally, with the principles described in the master document embedded at the foundation, or whether it gets built by default in the image of whoever moves fastest without those principles.
The problems documented here are the specification for how Evan must be built. They are not reasons it should not be built.

This glossary defines every significant term used across the document suite — in plain language first, with enough depth to satisfy a careful reader. Terms are grouped by category rather than alphabetically, so that related concepts can be understood together. If you are reading the Evan papers for the first time, this glossary is the right place to start.
Evan is a distributed ownership and capital formation platform — a global system that allows any person, anywhere, with any amount of capital, to own fractional shares of income-producing assets. At its most fundamental level, Evan is a ledger: a neutral, distributed, incorruptible record of who owns what. Everything else — the AI validation engine, the dashboard, the Give infrastructure, the Incubator — is a service layer that wraps around that core. Evan is not a company in the traditional sense. It is infrastructure, designed to function the way the internet functions: open, owned by no one, and accessible to everyone.
The foundational layer of the Evan system. The Core Ledger is the single source of truth for every microshare ever issued, every income distribution ever made, and every ownership record in the system. It is distributed across multiple jurisdictions and providers, meaning no single entity can alter, seize, or shut it down. Providers never hold custody of participant data — they are interface layers only. The ledger is what Evan is. Everything else serves it.
The fundamental unit of ownership on the Evan platform. An RFE packages any income-producing asset — a robotaxi fleet, a warehouse robot, an agricultural module, an HVAC system, an energy microgrid — into a defined instrument with a specific number of microshares. Each RFE specifies exactly what assets it holds, how much capital is required, how income is distributed, and what reserves are maintained. The name is intentional: REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) proved for sixty years that ordinary people could own fractional interests in income-producing properties. The RFE extends that logic to every productive asset class on Earth.
A charitable variant of the RFE used within the Evan Give platform. A CRFE is structured identically to a standard RFE — it has a defined purpose, a capital requirement, a Guild validator, and a transparent dashboard — but its yield expectation is zero. Microshare holders in a CRFE are not seeking a financial return. The smallest unit of ownership in the Evan system. A microshare represents a fractional interest in an RFE or Super Asset, purchasable for as little as a few dollars. Microshares are recorded on the Evan Core Ledger and are owned outright by the participant — they are not held in custody by any provider. Income generated by the underlying assets is distributed proportionally to all microshare holders on a regular schedule. The default action is reinvestment: income purchases additional microshares automatically, putting compounding to work from the first dollar.
A specialized RFE structure designed for assets that require years of construction or development before generating income — space-based solar arrays, lunar infrastructure, large-scale clean energy projects. Standard RFEs generate income from day one. Long Horizon RFEs generate income eventually, and participants invest in the belief that the asset is worth building. The Long Horizon RFE gives ordinary people ownership stakes in civilization-scale infrastructure that has historically been available only to institutions with civilization-scale capital.
The classification given to Long Horizon RFE investments, recognizing their distinct risk and time profile. Pioneer Class investments require a risk literacy confirmation before purchase, are ring-fenced from standard retirement portfolios, are structured with milestone-based capital calls so participants can exit at verified gates, and include a secondary market so participants can sell their position to others willing to hold longer. The name reflects the spirit of the investment: contributing to something not yet built, with the understanding that the return is measured in decades.
The specific point at which a participant's portfolio income exceeds their monthly living expenses — the moment at which they become self-sufficient through ownership rather than dependent on wages or transfers. The Sustainability Horizon is the goal the Evan system is engineered to reach for every participant. It is the end state that UBI can never provide, because a transfer payment has no mechanism for becoming unnecessary. An Evan portfolio that reaches the Sustainability Horizon generates income permanently, without another dollar of contribution required.
One of two accounts every Evan participant maintains. The Portfolio Account is the compounding engine — it holds the participant's RFE microshares and Super Asset units, receives income, reinvests by default, and tracks long-term performance. It is not connected to daily spending. The separation is deliberate: mixing investment capital with spending money is one of the most reliable ways to prevent wealth accumulation. The Portfolio Account compounds automatically. The participant's job is to leave it alone.
The second of the two accounts every Evan participant maintains. The Operating Account is the interface with daily life — it receives distributions when a participant elects to take income rather than reinvest, holds a cash buffer, and connects to a debit card and payment infrastructure. It handles life. The Portfolio Account builds wealth.
A voluntary agreement made by recipients of sponsored Evan accounts, committing that the sponsored funds and their returns will remain invested until the portfolio reaches a defined sustainability threshold, the sponsorship term expires, or the recipient formally requests early release. The Compounding Covenant is not Evan controlling someone else's money — it is the recipient making a commitment, with Evan enforcing it on their behalf at their own request. To ensure recipients benefit immediately, a Living Allowance of up to 15% of portfolio income flows unconditionally to their Operating Account from day one.

When objective trigger conditions are met (a vessel entering a war zone, a drought index crossing a threshold), settlement is automatic. No hidden fees, no gatekeepers, no concentrated syndicate deciding who gets covered. The participant who owns a fraction of a robotaxi can also, if they choose, be an insurer of the global economy.

It is important to understand what the AI Engine is not: it is not Evan itself. Evan is the ledger. The AI Engine is a service layer that wraps around that core, the most capable one at launch, but architecturally no different from any other service layer that providers might build on top of the protocol.

A specialized Guild composed of participants who have built sufficient portfolio stability to contribute their experience to new participants. Mentorship Guild members are not validators of assets — they are validators of understanding. They walk new participants through their first portfolio allocations, explain why the reserve deduction exists, help them understand what a redeployment event means, and demonstrate through their own trajectories that the system works. They are the human face of Evan: proof that the system produces people who want to bring others along, not just accumulate for themselves.
A specialized Guild that validates and monitors charitable RFEs (CRFEs). Humanitarian Guilds combine domain experts — construction engineers, public health professionals, water systems specialists — with local organizations embedded in the communities where projects are being built. They make a professional commitment that the project is legitimate, the costs are reasonable, the implementing organization is capable, and the community actually wants and will use what is being built. Guild reputation scores are updated based on project outcomes. A Guild that approves fraudulent or failing projects loses standing automatically.
A function within Evan Give that allows any participant to seed an Evan portfolio on behalf of someone who has no discretionary income to begin building ownership themselves. Sponsors contribute a fraction of their monthly income — often pennies — into either a direct sponsorship (to a specific named recipient) or a co-op pool (distributed by Evan to recipients matching the sponsor's stated preferences). Sponsored funds arrive as the recipient's property from day one. The recipient's dignity is protected: sponsors never see account balances or financial details.
A governance body responsible for enforcing Evan's Seven Principles during the platform's formation period — the years between launch and the point at which the system achieves sufficient scale and cultural embedding to be genuinely self-governing. The Committee has no authority over commercial operations or product decisions. Its sole mandate is the integrity of the Seven Principles. Modifications to the Principles require supermajority consensus within the Committee, public notice and comment periods, and a waiting period sufficient for the participant community to respond.
Any company or organization that builds a service layer on top of the Evan Core Ledger. The relationship between Evan and its providers is the same as the relationship between the internet's core protocols and the ISPs, browsers, and applications that run on top of them. Providers compete on service quality. Participants can switch providers instantly, with a single configuration change, taking everything with them. A provider that fails its participants loses them automatically — without regulatory intervention.

The challenge faced by any platform that depends on network effects: participants join because other participants are there, but other participants are only there because participants joined. Solving the cold start problem requires providing critical mass in the first asset class before the network effects take hold. The first of the Seven Principles. No participant may be excluded from the Evan system on the basis of wealth, geography, nationality, political affiliation, or any characteristic unrelated to the prevention of fraud. Minimum investment thresholds must remain low enough to be accessible to any person with any regular income. Any rule that restricts access without a fraud-prevention justification is constitutionally incompatible with Evan's existence.
The second of the Seven Principles. Every fee, every deduction, every allocation decision, every risk rating, and every AI validation output must be fully visible to participants. No hidden charges. No opaque algorithms. No undisclosed conflicts of interest. Transparency is not a feature of Evan — it is a requirement.
The third of the Seven Principles. No single entity — no government, no corporation, no provider, no founder — may acquire operational control of the Evan system. Participant accounts and ownership records are stored in the Core Ledger. Providers are interface layers only. Switching providers requires nothing more than a configuration change.
The fourth of the Seven Principles. Structural limits on ownership concentration are permanently embedded in the RFE and Super Asset architecture. No single entity may hold more than 5% of any individual RFE, 3% of any Super Asset, or 1% of system-wide assets. These limits cannot be circumvented through affiliated entities or nominee arrangements. Concentration monitoring is continuous and algorithmic.
The fifth of the Seven Principles. Evan does not favor any political party, ideology, or government. It does not allocate capital based on political criteria. The system serves its participants, not the political priorities of any state. This neutrality is itself a target — both progressive and conservative actors may attempt to bend Evan toward their priorities. The architecture is designed to make that bending structurally difficult.
The sixth of the Seven Principles. The core purpose of Evan — broad participation in asset ownership to replace wage dependency and expand economic access — cannot be modified by any governance process. Individual rules, fee structures, and technical implementations can evolve. The spirit cannot.
The seventh of the Seven Principles. Evan does not ask participants to trust it. It asks them to verify it. Every component — the AI validation engine, the reserve calculations, the allocation algorithms, the provider operations — must be subject to independent audit by parties chosen by the participant community.
The design philosophy that makes it structurally difficult for any single actor to gain control of the Evan system. The internet's failure on capture occurred because the protocol was open but the data was not — whoever controlled the data controlled the network. Evan's architecture inverts this specifically: participant ownership records live on the neutral Core Ledger, not on any provider's servers. The actual human being or entity that ultimately owns or controls an asset or financial instrument, as distinct from the legal or nominal owner. Identifying beneficial ownership is the central challenge of anti-concentration enforcement: sophisticated actors can route control through shell companies, nominee arrangements, and complex corporate structures that obscure the real owner. Evan's affiliation detection is designed to identify beneficial ownership through behavioral signals rather than relying solely on legal entity registration.
A letter from a regulatory agency — typically the SEC — stating that the agency will not recommend enforcement action if a company proceeds with a particular transaction or activity as described. No-action letters are a key tool in the regulatory path for novel financial instruments: rather than waiting for new legislation, a company can describe its proposed instrument to the regulator and seek confirmation that existing frameworks accommodate it. The Evan papers argue that RFEs structured to maximize resemblance to existing equipment lease participations are strong candidates for no-action letter treatment.
A regulatory environment that allows financial innovators to test new products and services with real customers under relaxed regulatory requirements, typically for a defined period and with certain consumer protection conditions. A record-keeping system in which identical copies of a database are maintained simultaneously across multiple locations and participants, with no central administrator. What it feels like to use Evan — screen by screen
Every chapter in The Case for Evan described what Evan does. This paper, along with the dashboard mockup, shows what it feels like to use it.
The most persuasive argument for any platform is not the argument made about it. It is the experience of using it. The previous chapters have built the case for Evan in principle, in mechanics, in governance, and in global consequence. This chapter steps back from the architecture and asks a simpler question: what does a participant actually see?
What follows is a guided tour through all nine screens of the Evan dashboard — experienced through the eyes of John, a participant two years into his Evan journey. He started with $50 a month. He has been consistent. He has not touched his portfolio account. He has let the system do what it was designed to do.
His dashboard is not a projection or a mockup. It is a working interface — interactive, data-driven, and built to the same design standard as any professional financial platform. Every number on every screen follows from the mechanics described in Chapter 2. Every feature reflects a design decision described somewhere in this document. The dashboard is where the theory becomes tangible.

Screen One: Portfolio — The First Thing You See Every Morning
John opens Evan on a Thursday morning in March 2029. The Portfolio screen is his home — the first thing the system shows him, and the screen that answers the only question that matters when you wake up as an owner: how is it going?
Four numbers greet him at the top. Portfolio value: $24,817 — up $312 this month. Monthly income: $97, at a 4.7% net yield. Microshares owned: 24,817 units, up 318 this month from reinvestment. Sustainability horizon: 14 years at his current $50/month contribution rate — the point at which his asset income will exceed his contributions and the portfolio becomes self-sustaining.
Below the metrics, two charts. The left chart shows portfolio growth over 24 months — a steady, unspectacular line climbing from $18,200 to $24,817. No dramatic swings. No alarming dips. Just the quiet arithmetic of compounding, rendered visually. On the right, the asset mix donut: five categories, five colors, five yield rates ranging from 4.5% to 6.2%. Super Asset Core. Agriculture. Robotaxi fleet. Warehouse robotics. Energy systems.
At the bottom, six months of monthly income distributions — a bar chart rising gradually from $84 in October to $97 in March. Each bar represents a month in which productive assets that John owns paid him income for doing nothing except owning them.
John finishes his coffee. The system is working. He goes about his day.
Screen Two: Simulate — The Future Made Adjustable
John's daughter turns eight next month. He has been thinking about what his portfolio looks like when she starts college. He navigates to Simulate.
Four sliders. Monthly contribution. Current age. Target retirement age. Net yield assumption. He sets his numbers — $50/month, age 35, retire at 65, yield 4.7% — and the result updates instantly: $39,379 portfolio value at retirement. $154 per month in passive income. Below that, a second scenario: what if he contributes $60/month instead of $50? The comparison appears immediately — side by side, same assumptions, one variable changed.
Then the chart that makes the Horizon argument visual: AI Deflation — Purchasing Power Over Time. Two lines diverge from today's starting point. The dashed red line represents traditional retirement planning, where 3% annual inflation erodes a $50,000 income to the equivalent of $24,000 in purchasing power over 25 years. The green line represents the Evan participant in an AI-driven deflationary economy — the same $50,000 income buys the equivalent of $82,000 in 25 years as costs fall faster than income.
John is not a financial analyst. He does not need to be. The chart does the work. He moves the sliders. He watches the numbers respond. He understands — not abstractly, but viscerally — what consistency over thirty years produces. He increases his contribution to $60 a month and navigates away.
Screen Three: Ideate — Where Ideas Become Assets
John has been thinking about an idea for three weeks. His neighborhood has no reliable mobile car washing service — most people either drive to a detailer or skip it entirely. He wonders if a fleet of autonomous mobile wash units could work. He has never launched a business. He opens Ideate.
The screen is deliberately simple. Three buttons at the top that represent three different paths to starting the ideation process. The first, Start a Conversation, is for those that just want to discuss an idea with Evan like they would with a friend. It is the method I used to craft the Evan papers and this dashboard. The Ideate process lands on this page when launched. At the bottom of the screen, a text box that states ‘Describe your idea in plain language’. The second button, Upload an Idea Document, is for those who have already stated their idea clearly in a whitepaper or business plan, or other less detailed document, and want to submit the paper rather than explaining the idea through conversation. The third button, Use the Idea Wizard, helps the user who wants a little guidance while submitting the idea. It asks a series of questions to help the user craft a description of the idea.
John types his idea in plain language — no business plan, no financial model, no pitch deck required. Evan engages John in a conversation regarding the idea until it has crystalized the idea. Evan now asks John if he wants to validate the idea. John hits Validate. Evan begins its process: scanning market data, checking Guild networks, running preliminary analysis. John does not wait at the screen watching progress bars. He will get a notification when the results are ready — usually within a few hours. If the idea clears the initial filter, Evan will run the full Monte Carlo validation in the background and surface the results with a clear recommendation: viable, not viable, or viable with modifications. It returns a screen that looks like this:
This is the Incubator in its most elemental form. An idea, typed in a box, beginning a journey that could end as an income-producing asset owned by thousands of participants — including John himself as the founder.
Screen Four: Assets — The Machines That Work For You
John wants to see what he actually owns. Not the portfolio abstractions — the physical things. He navigates to Assets.
847 total units across five categories. 844 online. 3 in maintenance. Average asset yield: 5.3% blended net. The list scrolls through the physical reality of his portfolio: Robotaxi #TX-4471 — a Tesla Model Y operated by StarRide LLC in Austin, Texas, 12,400 miles driven this month, returning 8.1%. Agriculture module #FL-0092 — a vertical farm unit operated by SunFarm Co-op in Central Florida, yielding 2.4 tons per month at 5.9%. Warehouse robot #OH-2218 — a picker unit in Columbus, Ohio, currently in maintenance, day 2 of a scheduled 2-day service.
That last entry matters. Three assets in maintenance out of 847 is a 99.6% uptime rate — but the one in maintenance is visible, named, and accounted for. And below the asset list, a maintenance note in amber: Unit OH-2218 is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Replacement reserve is fully funded. Estimated return to service: tomorrow. No impact to your monthly income distribution — the reserve absorbs the gap. This is the Evan replacement reserve system working as designed.
John reads this and feels something that most investors never feel about their portfolios: the specific, grounded knowledge of what he owns, where it is, who is operating it, and what condition it is in. Not a fund. Not a stock. Machines. Working. On his behalf.

John navigates to Impact — the screen that answers a question most financial platforms never ask: beyond the return, what does your participation actually mean?

Screen Six: Give — Pennies That Build Clinics
John navigates to Give. He has had his allocation set at 1% of monthly income since he joined. He checks in to see where the money has gone.
At the top, there are four buttons.
First, one for Charitable RFEs the user is contributing to. CRFEs are used primarily to build infrastructure in impoverished areas, but can be used for any charitable endeavor. This is the landing page for the Give function.
The slider at the bottom lets him adjust his allocation. Evan will recommend other CRFEs that match the user’s profile, or ask if the user wants to contribute more to a CRFE he is already contributing to that is not yet fully funded. The explanatory text below it makes the mathematics of small impossible to dismiss: at total saturation, a bold goal, 8.5 billion participants contributing an average of $0.50 per month generates $51 billion per year in global infrastructure funding — with zero administrative overhead beyond what Evan already provides.

John is a member of two Guilds. He navigates to the Guilds screen to check in on both.
His Guilds appear at the top. HVAC Guild — North Texas: 47 members, rated 4.8 stars, 12 active RFEs validated, $2.3 million under management. His role: Member. He joined because he spent twenty years in commercial HVAC installation and knows which equipment holds up and which doesn't. When an HVAC RFE comes through the Guild for validation, his opinion is informed by experience that no algorithm can replicate.
His second Guild: Mentorship Guild — Southeast US. 214 members, 3 active mentees, open office hours every Friday at 2pm Central. His role: Mentor. He started mentoring six months ago — guiding new participants through their first portfolio allocation, explaining why the reserve deduction exists, helping them understand what a redeployment event means for their Super Asset's near-term income. He does it because someone did it for him when he joined and because the system is only as strong as the number of people who understand it.
